Everything We Will Never Carry

RootWell has a simple standard: if we can't verify it, we don't sell it. Here's what that means in practice.

Synthetics and artificial additives
No synthetic fragrances, artificial colors, parabens, sulfates, or chemically manipulated ingredients. eSutras (primary supplier) makes this a hard line.
Non-certified organics
"Organic" means nothing without the USDA seal. We require USDA Organic certification or equivalent third-party verification. "Made with organic ingredients" without the seal = not in our catalog.
GMOs and GMO-derived ingredients
Non-GMO Project Verified required on every product. Third-party verified, not self-certified.
Single-use plastics in packaging
Products must have sustainable, recyclable, or reusable packaging. If a supplier can't verify the packaging, it's out.
Fewer than 3 independent certifications
Our biggest filter. Three separate third-party certifications minimum — USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project, NSF or USP or equivalent. Brand self-certification doesn't count.
Suppliers that can't verify farm origin
Must be able to document: farm region, harvesting method, chain of custody. No origin story = no product.

"These aren't marketing choices. They're operational standards."

Every product on RootWell was tested against this list before it was added to our catalog. That's the only way we know what we're selling — and the only way you know what you're buying.
